Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

SingularMade provides personalized products, embroidery and design tools, and on-site embroidery experiences. This policy describes how we handle information when you browse, customize products, upload photos, use AI-assisted design features, place orders or participate in an event through our service.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: Your name, email address, and phone number when you create an account, sign in, or place an order.
  • Authentication data: When you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your email address and display name from Google. We do not store your Google password or any third-party credentials. Your phone number may also be collected during checkout for order communication.
  • Order information: Product selections, sizes, colors, quantities, shipping addresses, billing details, and order history.
  • Photos and customization: Uploaded photos and artwork, prompts, generated images, text or initials, chosen fonts, thread colors, layouts and placement may be processed and stored to provide previews, your library and order production. Photos or text can contain personal information about you or other people.
  • Payment information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. Stripe may collect payment details in accordance with their own privacy policy.
  • Device storage: We use your browser's local storage (localStorage and IndexedDB) to cache your design selections, generated images, and cart data locally on your device for a faster experience. Some local previews run on your device. Uploading photos, requesting generation, saving or synchronizing designs, and preparing an order may send files and related information to our servers before checkout. Clearing browser storage does not delete server-held records.
  • Usage data: Basic usage information such as pages visited, features used, and device information, collected via Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to help us improve the platform.
  • Events and support: Contact details, event or booking information, customization choices, pickup details and messages you submit to us. If an organizer places an order on your behalf, we may receive the details needed to fulfill it.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our service.
  • To process and fulfill your orders.
  • To create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
  • To send transactional communications including order confirmations, shipping updates, and account notifications via email and/or SMS.
  • To provide the image generation or editing you request and evaluate service performance. This statement does not grant a blanket license to use personal photos in marketing.
  • To respond to your support requests and inquiries.
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of our platform.

4. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We share information needed to operate the service with the providers described below. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to address fraud, safety or legal claims.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:

  • Supabase: Authentication, database and image storage services.
  • Google: Social login via Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0).
  • Stripe: Payment processing and phone number collection at checkout. Your payment data is handled directly by Stripe under their privacy policy.
  • Twilio: SMS delivery where order notifications are enabled.
  • OpenAI, Leonardo AI and image-processing providers such as Photoroom: Depending on the feature and provider in use, prompts and selected reference images may be sent for generation, editing or background removal. Those images and prompts may contain personal information. Only submit content you have permission to process this way.
  • Vercel: Hosting, usage analytics and performance measurement.

Fulfillment and delivery providers receive the information needed to produce, ship or arrange pickup of your order. At live events, staff may access customization and order details needed to serve guests. These providers may process information outside your state or country.

Uploaded and generated images can be served through hosted image URLs. Anyone who obtains a public image URL may be able to view that image; do not use this service to store confidential documents. Sharing a design or image link can expose its contents to others.

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies.

6. Account & Authentication

We offer the following sign-in methods:

  • Email & password: Your password is securely hashed and stored by Supabase. We never have access to your plain-text password.
  • Google Sign-In: We receive your name and email from Google. We do not access your Google contacts, files, or any other data.
  • Guest checkout: You can place orders without creating an account. We collect your email, phone number, and shipping information to fulfill the order. You may create an account afterward to track your orders.

7. Phone Numbers & Order Messages

We use order contact details for service and fulfillment communications. Where order SMS is enabled, your number and message content are processed by Twilio to deliver it. We do not sell phone numbers or share them for third-party marketing. Message frequency varies and carrier charges may apply. To stop texts, reply STOP to a message or contact support@singularmade.com. Providing a phone number does not authorize marketing texts.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies for session management and authentication. These are essential for the platform to function and keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We also use localStorage and IndexedDB in your browser to cache design data, cart items, and generated images locally for performance. You can clear this data through your browser settings at any time.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@singularmade.com. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g., order records for tax purposes).

10. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. We use access controls and the security features of our authentication, hosting and payment providers. No online service or storage method can guarantee absolute security. Protect your account and avoid uploading information that is not needed for your design.

11. Children's Privacy

SingularMade is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@singularmade.com.

12. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

California residents: Where applicable, California privacy law provides rights to know, correct and delete personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information or share it for that advertising. To make a privacy request, contact us at support@singularmade.com.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the platform or by other appropriate means. The date at the top identifies the latest update. If a new use of information requires consent, we will seek it before that use.
